Frequently asked questions
Will the templates stay free?
Yes. Every trade template and the online estimate maker stay free with unlimited Excel, Word and PDF downloads and no watermark. Pro adds the things that need a server: accept links, saved data, numbering and history.
How does the accept and sign link work?
From the maker, click Get accept & sign link and send it by email or text. Your customer opens the estimate on any phone or computer, types their name, signs with a finger or mouse and taps Accept (or Decline with a reason). The status appears in your dashboard and you can download the signed PDF.
Is an online signature legally valid?
In the US, the federal ESIGN Act and state laws based on the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act generally give electronic signatures the same effect as handwritten ones when both sides agree to sign electronically. We record the typed name, drawn signature, time and the document version. For high-value contracts, check your state's rules or use a full contract.
How does the free trial work?
You get 7 days of Estimate Pro free. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
How do I use Pro on another device?
After checkout you get a licence key (ETP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Enter it on the Estimate Pro page in any browser to unlock your saved customers, price book and history there.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Use Manage subscription on the Estimate Pro page. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you can export your estimate list to CSV first.
