About Estimate Templates
Last updated
Estimate Templates exists for one moment: you've walked the job, the customer is waiting, and you need a clear, professional estimate in front of them today, without signing up for a $30-a-month field service app.
What we believe
- Free should mean free. Unlimited downloads in Excel, Word and PDF, no email gate and no watermark.
- Your prices are your business. The estimate maker runs in your browser, so your customer list and rates stay on your device.
- A good estimate prevents arguments. Every trade template includes a scope of work, exclusions, terms, deposit and a signature block, because most disputes start with something nobody wrote down.
How we make the templates
Each template is generated from the same code as the online maker, so a blank template and a finished estimate use identical formulas. Trade line items, units and terms are written from common practice in each trade and reviewed at least twice a year. Example prices are illustrations, not price guidance: costs vary a lot by region and job. Where we mention a law (for example California's cap on home improvement down payments), we cite the statute so you can check it.
How we make money
Estimate Pro is an optional subscription for contractors who quote every week: online accept and sign links, one-click estimate to invoice, saved customers and a price book. That keeps the templates free for everyone else. Our sister site Excel Invoice Maker handles invoicing.
